This video makes me feel good. It’s Beat Happening playing on the sidewalk in front of some record store in the early 90’s. I really love the mom dancing with her kid in the background and the guy passing the hat around at then end.
Btw, I’d never heard of Beat Happening until I read about them a couple of years ago in Our Band Could Be Your Life, which is a great book that I highly recommend.

We came up with this idea in a Beneath Gristedes writer’s meeting, a few of us wrote it together a day later and shot it 2 days after that. Everyone is great in it and it was really fun to do.

Buzzy! by Gavin Speiller. Here’s episode two and episode three also. These were from his one-man show. Yeah!
Yeah! I’m glad Will put these up, because I haven’t seen them in awhile. These 3 Buzzy videos were the video runner from my one man show “Gavin Speiller Needs Your Approval” which last ran at the UCB theatre probably a year and a half to two years ago. Will did a really great job directing and editing these.
